WINTER HOLIDAY


Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, on Dec,25 every year. This is the religion and culture of people around the world and Catholicism. I’m a Christian so I really love this holiday and season. Christmas is a big holiday in which Jesus was born in Bethlehem in accordance with messianic prophecies. 


The Christmas celebrations involve attending the Christmas Day mass at the Church. This is followed by getting together. Generally, gifts, particularly cakes, are distributed to the people. The preparation for Christmas Day begins weeks before 25th December. Hence, on this Day, almost all Christian houses are decorated with a crib in the house, generally Church. On Christmas Day, gifts hidden by family members are opened. Cards are sent to loved ones, and many people dress up as Santa Claus to distribute candies to the children. Singing Christmas carols such as “ Silent Night”, “ Jingle Bells”, “ Joy To The World” are also popular. Several people also choose to help out the needy before Christmas as a part of celebrations.

  My name is Le Tran Phuong Uyen. I'm from Viet Nam. I was born on November.27.2000. I want to graduate from ESL this year and attend Georgia Southern university to study my main major in the early spring of next year.
